Weaving Together a Beautiful Network of Musicians, Dancers, Writers, Game Designers, Technologists, Thinkers and Intrepid Experimenters to Tell Stories that Move You!

Our Story

Kate Duhamel founded Tapestry Electric to create bold, interdisciplinary work at the intersection of arts and technology.  She brings together collaborators from music, dance, video gaming and emerging technologies to develop performances, games, competitions and experimental projects that weave physical and virtual worlds into seamless creative experiences where meaningful stories are shared - exploring what it means to be human in a world where technology is rapidly reshaping how we live, work, connect and need each other.

  • We renamed Tapestry Electric in 2025 from “CandyBomber Productions,” to reflects our commitment to creating a dynamic cultural tapestry where diverse artistic disciplines and digital innovation intersect.

Our current work titled FRAY has spawned a collection of projects, starting with a hip hop dance theatre production based on a story about two brothers who’s close bond is challenged when a digital companion enters their world.  Following the brothers’ passion for gaming in the story, we developed and released the FRAY Game for PC’s and the FRAY Jam mobile app, and are currently developing a dance battle game in Roblox.  We host an annual game jam and regular hip hop dance battle competitions under the FRAY World banner.

Our early productions set the tone for Tapestry Electric’s boundary-pushing approach.  FURY reimagined Mad Max: Fury Road as a live ballet, bringing the energy of cinema into new spaces and introducing dance to fresh audiences.  During the Covid-19 pandemic, we launched a home-creation commissions programme supporting artists to make new work remotely, and produced Fly Me to the Moon — a short dance film celebrating resilience and imagination, created in collaboration with Grammy Award–winning musicians including Ledisi.

These milestones shaped the Tapestry Electric ethos — bold cross-genre collaboration, inventive use of technology, and a belief in creativity as a catalyst for connection and community, creating spaces where people meet to spark collaboration, imagination, and new pathways for creative and professional growth.   At the same time, we recognise that the same digital spaces that inspire can also isolate. Our work uniquely positions us to address those challenges, creating opportunities that bridge online and real-worlds.
