In September we started the first round of rehearsals for the new FRAY show.
For a week the studio became a workshop. The company built out the movement language for the piece, laid the foundations of the score and worked through the script scene by scene, testing ideas on their feet and rewriting as they went.
It is the first step towards a new version of FRAY, our hip hop theatre show about two brothers and the pull of a digital world, which premiered at Sadler’s Wells Lilian Baylis in 2024. Watching it come back together with new material and a sharper story has been a highlight of our year.
